History was made and I was there *big grin*
Last Saturday, Kelantan faced Negeri Sembilan in the Piala Malaysia showdown. I have never been to a football match before, and was really looking forward to this one. There were quite a few first-timers in our group. - Kak An, Kak Ha, Chik and myself. Izzat, Kak Nik and Irfan were also there.
We went early to retrieve our tickets, but the stadium was already quite packed. We did manage to get stair-seats that allowed us good view of the field however. Kelantan supporters turned out in droves, I think we outnumbered Negeri supporters 3:1.
Game started on time, Kelantan supporters were a rowdy bunch, Kelantan players played like sh*t, Negeri led 1-0 at halftime (penalty because keeper brought down a player), Kelantan rebounded 2-1 in the 57th and 65th minutes.
All in all, it was an evening filled with adrenaline, testosterone and cigarette smoke. Definitely worth an experience. But I think next time, until Kelantan folks relearn their manners, I'd rather sit with the opposing camp.
Kelantan won their first ever Piala Malaysia and I was there, hell yeah!
Tuesday, October 26, 2010 @ Samba
I had another episode of hives (read: allergy attack) today while playing futsal at Samba. As usual, I could tell that I was having a reaction, and stopped playing early enough to avoid any serious damage done. It was only about 30 minutes into the game, made me felt a little bad not being able to enjoy the whole game. But it was also fun watching on the side. Nor tagged along, and it was her first time playing futsal, she always ended up on the wrong side of the court *lol*
Anyways, yesterday I ended up splurging tons of money on clothes. I found out about a vintage shop that sells pretty decent stuff, so I dragged my sister along to the place. It was so much fun! We had the place to ourselves, and played dress-up to our hearts content. We ended up spending 4 hours there, and most of this month's hard-earned money =P Enough to say that I can no longer allow myself to buy clothes for the next 4 or 5 months.
Wednesday, October 20, 2010 @ The date
Regardless of whether there's anything worth written or not, I have to blog today to immortalize the date =P
Came across Huma's old blog the other day, which caused me to reminisce for a while =)
Last week was my birthday, and we are now 2 years away from being three-decade young ;)
I did not plan anything special to celebrate the occasion, but la famiglia sent a bouquet of flowers, which was extremely sweet of them.
The day if anything, was a cause of heartbreak for me. A certain someone apparently didn't think it was worth a phone call, what more an evening out. It was a big disappointment, but then I realized that I am responsible for my own happiness. So I decided to let go of what I have no control over, and just do the best with what I can.
Lee DeWyze's new song "Sweet Serendipity" was premiered on my birthday, and it couldn't be a better theme song.
Wednesday, September 29, 2010 @ Fishies... no more
I feel awful. The guppies died, all of 'em... Of all my prayers to be answered, didn't think this would be one of them, and so soon.
I'm sorry guppies. I hope you are all swimming in heavenly waters and resting in peace.
Time to get new fighting fish!
Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ Fishies
The fighting fish I bought for my sister's birthday died just before Eid. Since I found that watching the fish soothes me, and since I've been feeling down and listless lately, I thought of getting another fish.
And so I went to a pet store yesterday. The fighting fish they had looked more listless than I feel, so I passed them. The girl attending to me suggested some guppies, and since I thought they look colorful enough, I thought, why not?
And so I came home with two pairs of guppies and set them in their new home. However, while watching fighting fish helps me unwind, I found watching the guppies freaking exhausts me. They are a bundle of energies, darting to and fro, never settling for long. After 5 minutes, I was like, "Apalah ikan nih, kalut semacam. Kite yang tengok pon mengah."
Guppies, I hope you don't live too long. 'Coz after you're gone, and the vase is vacant again, I'm gonna get myself some less exhausting fish to watch.
