fuh. glad to be here again. these past few days have been hectic, more like a dream than a reality. oh, one more comment about those frat guys. i passed by zeta psi and the brothers were building an igloo outside, thought that was kinda fun. so... we had our fundraising event last saturday. i cannot say how grateful i am to those who helped us eventhough they had nothing to do with the event. richard at the media center, steve in downtown, safi and his mom, afsan's brother, linell, and many others i can't remember already. i have to say i was really touched by all these people's genuine interest that we would manage to pull a successful event. my heartfelt gratitude also to those who made time to join us at the event. you have no idea how much your presence and support mean to us. alhamdulillah, the event went pretty well. of course, there were a few things that went wrong, but all in all it went well. we managed to raise one third of the money that we need and together with the money we had from before, we're about two third of our way there. if we can raise another ten thousand dollars, the renovation of the new muslim unit and islamic center will begin this summer. i have high hopes for this project. and with all the support we have from the administration and the community, insya Allah, this vision of the islamic center that we have, will become real.
