the weather has been nice this past couple of days. after a few days of craziness, i feel really glad that today's been such a relaxing one. dinner, followed by dessert, and pool and ping pong at the campus center. of course, there had to be some kind of craziness in everything. at the restaurant huma and i went into the restroom together, she took care of business while i touched up, trusting me not to look down. sometimes, even i find it hard to believe the things that i do. last time i did anything like that was eight years ago, sharing a shower stall with shuderq at kota tinggi. madness. the icc has been working very hard this past month. we are planning a seminar with dr. ingrid mattson and imam zaid shakir at the end of february. the seminar will be followed by a fundraising dinner for our islamic center project. hopefully everything will work out smoothly. we are already selling the tickets, the fliers are done and will be up next week, emails have already been sent out. we originally planned to have sheikh hamzah over as the main speaker, but the amount that zaytuna institute requested to have him come here was a wee bit out of our budget. but we're still hopeful that dr. mattson and imam shakir will draw just as many crowd. i can barely keep my eyes open, heading off to bed.
