What to do when you have a fish bone stuck in your throat. Make a ball of rice and swallow it. Apparently it's the same cure in Bangladesh as it is at home.

I guess a lot of people are having their halloween party tonight. I was seriously considering wearing my costume to work, but nah. Farz is a cat. And Lee is a Superman, he makes a cute Superman too, that guy is hot ;)

Temperature's in the 60's, weird, but nice.

One more midterm coming up this week, bunch of readings to do. I had to lead class discussion with Jess, it didn't go very well. I'm really bad at leading discussions, I just don't know where to take them to. People just come up with things to say, and I don't know how to tie things together so they would fall nicely into place. Bleh.

Haven't talked to Huma for ages (translate - two weeks). Haven't talked to Anand for eons (translate - probably since before school started). I really have to figure out the deal with my cell. Ikut hati, I would probably just throw it out, terminate my contract, and be done with it. But it's not the most economically efficient thing to do. So I guess I have to pay for a new cell, and wait till the contract's done in January before I'll finally be able to give up the cell for good. I hate being too accessible. I've been enjoying my life without a cell. It's creepy how much technology controls you.

Mbak Pi's leaving soon. I'm going to miss her. Sometimes I really feel like I'm not given enough time with certain people. How I got to know them, became close, and then, it ended. They had to leave, and that's the end of it (I suck at long distance relationship, I really don't know how to keep in touch with people).

Why is that? You would think that since I've lived almost half of my life away from home, I'd be so good at writing and keeping in touch. I'm not. Forget friends, I don't even write to my own family. Sure I send cards for birthdays, and for hari raya if I'm being good, but that's the extend of it. I'm not the kind of person who's good at telling stories. That's what letters are, they're stories about things that happen. I remember reading letters that Marlyne sent to D and D last winter, they were amazing. I wish I can write like that. To be able to put into words what you experience, and being able to relay it to other people so they can appreciate it too, that's an amazing gift. Unfortunately, I have yet to discover it in myself.
